Palanpur Palace was constructed more than a century ago by Nawab Sher Mohammed Khan of Palanpur state. Later his his son Nawab Taley Mohammed Khan took keen interest and further furnished it to make it an ideal summer palace. The present Nawab Iqabal Mohammed Khan provided more glory and glamour to this palace, to stand out amongst other Palaces. It was Nawab Taley Mohammed khan, who had the idea of converting a part of this palace from 1923 to1936 for a hotel purpose. It was named "Mount Hotel" and later Englishman named it as "Hotel Skeltania".

Mt Abu : A pleasant retreat set amidst the lush forested hills, Mt Abu is a green oasis in the barren deserts cape that's Rajasthan.The only hill resort of Rajasthan, situated at the highest peak of the Aravali at an altitude of 1220 meters.

Nakki Lake is situated in the heart of the city and is a great attraction with tourists. It is a magnificent lake encircled by green hills and rock formations. It is believed that the lake was dug out by gods by their nails (nakh) and hence the name "Nakki". The lake is also a pilgrimage for Hindus, as it is believed to be as sacred as the holy 'Ganga'.

Situated 2 km towards southwest of Nakki lake is the Sunset Point. It offers a splendid view during the dusk hours, when you can view thousands of feet down towards the plains with the sun setting in the horizon.

It is also known as Anadra Point, after the village Anadra where it is situated. It offers a great view of the valley & plains at sunset time. It is situated at a height of 4000 ft. the name Honey Moon point refers to the peculiar 'Lover's Rock', which is a natural rock formation in the shape of a man and a woman. The place holds a special attraction for newly-wedded couples.

Situated2.5 km from the main city, the Delwara Temples are exquisite structures in marble. The temples dating back to the 11th and 12th century, are built of pure white marble. There are five temples

The highest peak of Aravalli hills, at 1772 m above sea level, it is about 15 km from Mt. Abu. There is a motorable road to reach Guru Shikhar. There is a temple dedicated to Swami Dattatreya, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu

Summer Festival (1st to 3rd June) : The summer season is the time for exuberant festivities in this sylvan retreat of Rajasthan. The hill town, covered with mango groves, beautiful bauhinia trees and thickets of wild berries, stirs with life in the first week of June every year.
